-The 2nd album 『Buono!2』has been made!!
Natsuyaki: It's a little different from the usual Buono! Of course there are many Buono!-like, energetic Rock songs, but there are really gentle songs as well. There are songs like "Goal" that are in the same Rock style, but it suddenly picks up in the chorus with an orchestral kind of feel. As for the lyrics, like in 『Shoushitsuten-Vanishing Point-』, there are also overreached grown-up kind of songs, I think they'll be able to see various sides of Buono!.
Tsugunaga: Really, yeah. It seems the theme is "Pop&Punk"、Buono! up until now has been a group with a strong impression of rocking out but, 『Buono!2』 has painful songs and such, I think it turned out to be a collection of many flavors, that allows you to get a taste of an even more delicious Buono!
Suzuki: Until now Buono! has had mostly songs where we all have equal singing parts. This time, there are songs where each of us have the main vocal part. The song I was in charge of is 『OVER THE RAINBOW』, Miyabi-chan has 『Shoushitsuten-Vanishing Point-』 and Momoko-chan has 『I NEED YOU』. Those songs that are accented with each of our individual colors will be fresh to hear.
Suzuki Airi lead vocal song 『OVER THE RAINBOW』
Suzuki: When I first heard the demo of the song and read the lyrics, the 3 lines♪"From when I was little～Once again"♪, I couldn't get that out of my head. I thought, "This song's really great~". On top of that, the fact that I had the lead part made me extremely happy. Whether it's for slower songs like 『OVER THE RAINBOW』 or danceable songs like 『Rottara Rottara』, I first read the lyrics carefully, and then sing with that broadened image. When I heard this song, I got a sense of a grand world expanding. At first it has a peaceful atmosphere, but the world automatically expands in the chorus, and it has a Rock mood as well. So I sang while changing various things, like my voice expression.
　Natsuyaki Miyabi lead vocal song 『Shoushitsuten-Vanishing Point-』Natsuyaki: This song is a love song, the painted image you get from the lyrics is about kind of an adult love. So I asked my mother, "What would this girl be feeling?!" And my mother was like,"This is a great song~ I can really relate!!" and was really moved by it. (lol) The song is, kind of venturing from the Rock world, it thoroughly resonates in your chest. I sang with a sense that I was trying to get my feelings to reach out to a vast space.
Tsugunaga Momoko lead vocal song 『I NEED YOU』
Tsugunaga: When I first heard the song I thought, "This is one song？？？"（lol） Because, at first, it's kind of a euphoric, bouncy tune but it suddenly changes into aggresive Rock. At first I was surprised, it was like 2 songs played together. When I sang it, I was thinking, "That gap is the fun part." So, people who come and see it live, while clapping along in the beginning, when it breaks into the chorus they'll be like "Woah～!! There it is!!!!" , and get all hyped up, raise their hands together and headbang. That's the kind of active feeling I'd like to give.
-(The songs that)Paint a realistic picture, 『Kirakira』,『Goal』
Suzuki: When I read "Kirakira"'s lyrics, there were many parts where I thought, "I can relate～!!" Such as♪"Today we're recording～Tomorrow's an English quiz"♪, things I can relate to from personal experience. The lyrics ♪"When I'm dancing, When I'm singing songs～Those are the moments I love the most"♪, I agree with as well. When singing Buono!'s songs, it's usually "Sing in this character" but "Kirakira" is a song I could sing honestly from how I really am.
Natsuyaki: What we sing in the chorus is the closest to our life size form. Because it's a song with just our feelings, I really sang while thinking, "I can relate!!"
Tsugunaga: While singing this song, what I thought of summarized is, "I won't do what someone has decided for me, It's cool if I choose to do what I like and I truly want to do." The one who wrote the lyrics, Iwasato Yuuho-san wrote it with our feelings in mind, so again, while singing the song I thought, "I want us to perform freely in our own Buono! way!!"
Suzuki: "Goal" as well, they wrote it with the normal us in mind so, we could sing with meaning.
Natsuyaki: I mean, subject matter that is close to our feelings is easy to express, and easier to express to everyone as well.
Suzuki: At last year's FC Event, we challenged ourselves to play as a band. This song "Goal" is a song I'd like to try and play together as a band as well.
Tsugunaga: The parts are, Airi's on guitar, Miyabi's on bass, and I'm on drums. But we get nervous when we perform...
Natsuyaki: The whole time we're looking at our instruments, we can't play with our heads up.（lol） So that's still a challenge.（lol）
- "Good morning!!"How about hearing 『Early Bird』when you wake up every morning?!Natsuyaki: It has a similar feeling as the 1st album 『Café Buono!』's opening song "Café Buono!", would you say...
Suzuki: It truly resembles the album's opening song, and it's very Buono!-like.
Natsuyaki: In this song we sing "Good morning" a number of times, I'd really like people to listen to it in the morning.
Tsugunaga: For this song, we each have spoken lines, like "Good morning", so by all means, please use each of our voice recordings as an alarm clock. I think it will make your morning invigorating.（lol）
Natsuyaki: If it was me, I'd like to listen to it on the way to school. It would definitely give me energy.
Tsugunaga: That's right. If you listen to this song in the morning it makes you feel like, " I'll try my best today too."
- What are things to listen for in the ２nd album 『Buono!2』?!Suzuki: Our 1st album 『Café Buono!』 had a continuous cute and cheerful atmosphere, with a ballad at the end. This time, while there are of course Buono!-like bright songs, I thought, "There are a lot of slower songs." There are many songs that have deep subject matter.
Natsuyaki: Yes, that's true. I first listened to it carefully. But the second time, I listened in really high spirits, when they ended, I kept repeating them. (lol) Also, there are songs with many different melodies, people will be able to enjoy it with a kind of feeling like they're viewing a drama.
Tsugunaga: I of course listened to 『Buono!2』 while moving. （lol）Like Miyabi was saying it was like a drama, this album varies like, energetic song/peaceful song/energetic song/peaceful song, It has so much variety that it'll remain fresh no matter how many times you play it. Also, if you compare them with our singing voices in our ３rd single 『Kiss!Kiss!Kiss!』 and the new single 『co・no・mi・chi』, when I noticed "eh- Our voices are so different!!" I was surprised myself.
Natsuyaki: Though 1 year hasn't passed, the way we sing, express, etc. we've changed in different ways so you'll be able to see that growth in this album.
- The１st Live 「Buono!～Live 2009～Hybrid☆Punch～」has been determined!!
Tsugunaga: Finally our 1st Live has been decided. This time, from the beginning there's content you can bang your head to, and halfway through if you're still going, you headbang too much your head gets dizzy, your legs get weak from jumping, with that kind wild enthusiasm, it without a doubt it will be a fun Live. Rather, we shake our heads too much too, that might be problematic.（lol）
Natsuyaki: From the entrance till the end, in any case I want to make it a "Cool Live" In Buono!'s case especially, more than decided dances, there are many songs where we can express ourselves freely, so we'll get many feelings across to everyone. I'd like for it to be a fun time!
Suzuki: The main theme of Buono! is "Rock". For the 7 shows spanning 4 days, I'm sure it will be a heated Live jam-packed with our feelings. Like Momo said, so much so that the people who see it will feel dizzy. By all means, go wild at the concert!!
Tsugunaga: Our faces get Bright-bright red with excitement.
Suzuki: Red as a lobster.（lol）There's no doubt (out of H!P) you could only have that kind of Live experience with Buono!
Natsuyaki: The 3 of us already had bright red faces from getting worked up during rehearsal, so please look forward to the real concert!!

--"The long awaited 2nd album 'Buono!2' is done!"
Momoko: When I first heard the complete product I got really excited! I loved all of the songs before we even started recording, and after hearing our voices for real it just got even more exciting.
Nowadays whenever I'm going somewhere I'm having this album on loop!
Miyabi: "This is completely different from the usual Buono!" was my first thought. Comparing it to the first album I think it has a lot more mature and cooler songs as opposed to poppy and cute.
Airi: Compared to "Café Buono!" I think it has a lot of softer songs. The song called "Goal" is a bit on the soft side but yet rock, and it's personally one of my favorites.

--"Tell us about your individual main songs and its points"
Momoko: To put it in one word: "I NEED YOU" is kind of strange! (lol) There are two different kinds of melodies, the verses are calm and from the chorus it's instantly rock.
The song is about the feelings of a girl who gets seperated from her loved one. First impressions might be a little confusing at first, but as you listen to it more it'll grow on you!
Miyabi: Up until now we've been singing rockier songs, but "Vanishing Point" is really grown-up.
Airi: "OVER THE RAINBOW" is a calmer song. I'd like to point out the part before the last chorus where the pace picks up! The atmosphere is a bit different, and it'd be nice if the lyrics are conveyed.

--"Which parts of 'Buono!2' do you feel are 'delicious'?"
Momoko: The very first song "Early Bird" is a good condidate to becoming Buono!'s regular menu. (lol) It has a lot of lines, especially my own line towards the end "Okiro!" is really cute so please look out for it. (lol) I'd be happy if people also used it as a method to wake up~
Miyabi: The new album has a lot of different types of songs. It's not only the usual rock, but the more adult-like Buono! as well.
Airi: The jacket this time has two different patterns and constumes, both of them have a different feeling to them, so do check that out.

--"Now then, tell us about each other's 'delicious' parts?"
Momoko: Since we're talking "delicious", I'd like to express this using ingredients for oden!
Airi is hanpen - fluffy, pure white and the refreshing type.
Miya is konnyaku - the type of konnyaku which gets a stronger flavor the more you cut it.
And myself kinchakubukuro - for some reason complexely built up, and surprisingly really down-to-earth. (lol)
Combine the three and you have a "Buono!" dish which pours out flavor the longer you cook it~
Miyabi: All three of us have outgoing personalities.
Airi: Momo has a one and only character that no one else can copy!
Miya seems grown-up whenever she's singing, but in fact she's incredibly cute and girly!
I'm not sure about myself... I'm often told that I eat everything with a delicious face on, so I guess in a way that's a "delicious" part? (lol)

--"Let's conclude this with a message!"
Momoko: The new album has a lot of our feelings stuffed into it. Listen to it a lot and do some passionate singing at karaoke and such! Buono! will still keep on running, so keep on supporting us!
Miyabi: I'd really like everyone to listen to "Buono!2" a lot! I think you'll be able to discover a new side of us. Just keep on repeating and looping it. (lol) Also, do come visit us at our lives and events!

MY GIRLS - Buono! MY BOY mega recap/tangent with blatant Momo bias

For the jacket Making, they did them seperately, and then photoshopped them together. Momo and Airi look fine; I know they're going for a space-age futuristic kind of musical feel, so maybe they intentionally made Miya look like an alien? In any case, I think they could've made the album graphics a lot cooler, but it's not that bad. Nothing great, but not bad. It doesn't seem to have that Buono! charm without the 3 of them together. But my theory is, whenever you put the 3 of them together for photos they end up hugging and getting too touchy-feely, so maybe it would be too hard to believe the theme of the song is about a boy when they look so happy with eachother? haha That's not true though, they've been seperate before. (Rottara2 etc.) I really dislike the main outfits though- the 80s jazzercise chic. The theme of the song is very cool and mature, and the music is fast-paced Rock with futuristic/techno instrumentals. In that sense I understand they were going for a futuristic/bright look to fit the up-beat song, but I definitely want to shoot whoever's in charge of wardrobe. They really missed the mark. They looked SOoooo (x infinity) cute in the Spy uniforms. They're cool, but have cute accents like hearts and the G clef on the back. I wish they had something cooler as the main outfit- Something like the silver costumes from Berryz' latest concert. I don't actually care at all- I love them so it doesn't matter what they're wearing but, Momo and Miya's are tolerable but Airi's is just wrong in every way. It really bothers me because Airi's so cute but that outfit just doesn't look good. Oh well, we get skirts and knee socks so everyone wins haha Of course there's a word for it in Japanese: 絶対領域 (zettairyouiki): exposed skin between top of knee-high socks and hemline of skirt (lit: absolute territory)

I spy...a mumbly little kappa - Airi AKA Spairi.

Miya never ceases to amaze me. Miya even said this herself, She seems kind of tough and cool but she's really a shy person. Miya made some mistakes. Airi didn't because she's freakishly perfect.

The PV Entire story gif
This PV blew everyone away, just because it's so different from past styles. You can't really say it's the BEST video they've made- because each song has certain good points about them whether it's the outfits, the dance, etc. This is definitely at the top of the list. They really took some time to make this video special. It doesn't take much, you know? All it takes is a little idea and we're happy. Each girl shines in her solo scenes- obviously I loved Momo the most. Her comedic ability (though not a stretch from her actual personality) really comes through on camera and speaking of coming through on camera- she looked gorgeous in all of her scenes. And man are those spy outfits adorable, with the gloves and all.
And since I am first and foremost in love with Momo, you should expect me to gush about her at just about any chance I get lol. This is random but I lo~~ve her hands. They're not normal girly hands, her fingers/nails are kind of wider and round and they seem like really cute, strong little hands, and they look cute in those finger gloves. XD One thing I love about Momo is she's really not that girly- she comes from a poorer family and you can see when she was little she was more boyish, and she doesn't care about make-up/doing her nails, that kind of thing as much as most other girls. I love her bushy eyebrows I hope she never waxes them haha She's very natural and looks beautiful without makeup, and has short, plain nails- which I find so adorable. High-maintenance girls with scary-ass nails are a no-no. I like natural, down to earth cool girls. And Berryz fans will probably agree, but Berryz have been pretty low maintenance and down to earth since the beginning, which is one reason why I love them. They're really sweet,thoughtful normal girls as opposed to most mindless hoes that populate the land these days.

I've read that some people were saying the dance isn't great- but I don't see anything wrong with it. It goes well with the song, the girls get solos, and have some tricky parts where they work together.

Anyway, the storyline had nothing to do with the song but it's great. It's hilarious how Momo's the Leader but she's a clumsy mess. That's more of her "Buono! character', she's actually the most hard-working/serious one, but her personality's the silliest. She's kind of the Leader of fun in a way- How she always tries to get Airi and Miya to go along with her hijinks. I think she's the driving force of Buono!'s fun factor. I love how she pulls out a switchblade only to cut the cake lol and, no I wouldn't trust her with a knife, gun, or any harmful object. I'd only trust her with my heart (ーー;).......? woah sorry crossed the creepy line. Coming back to Earth now.

Yes! This song is extremely kickass and so damn catchy. The lyrics are cool and has that particular Buono! philosophical outlook. They are offering words of encouragement to a depressed boy. They sound very cool while being sweet at the same time- which is part of Buono!'s charm. Momo the wonder girl uses her killer low voice which really does kill me- her voice in general kills me actually. In the very best way possible. I'm not going to lie, whenever my Momochi has to sing/talk about boys I tune out, avoid it and return to my cushy bubble of denial. You all know how difficult it is to share a girl you love with the rest of the world- but personally the fact that she likes boys is an extra spike to my heart, so I try not to think about that lol. The Idol world is usually all about appealing to the Wotas, with love-centric songs. AKB48 is more cut-and-dry than H!P - they're more like Idol-Lite. lol So luckily for me, Berryz and Buono! rarely sing about guys with the exception of a few songs like "Waracchaou yo Boyfriend", etc. so I've been able to keep Momo within my cushy bubble of denial. lol
But anyway my point is, I don't personally enjoy singing about guys lol BUT, the fact that it's such a good song that it doesn't bother me proves how great they are.
They're actually offering advice to a depressed boy, and even though the point of the song is that the boy they're talking about is "their boy", it's obvious that the girls are playing a role, (in conjuction with the anime? I haven't seen it) so it doesn't bother me or anything lol So anyway, it's so fun and I can't wait to see it live.

This song is just as great as MY BOY. For personal reasons I prefer this one. haha The lyrics are cute, very sweet- they have a space theme (as in warp into Space) and the actual music is very clean, crisp pop with an orchestral, futuristic feel in the vein of 'My Love'. The main reason I love this song, though, is Momo's voice. I love everything about her, and her voice is at the top of that list. Her specialness comes through when she sings- Her voice is very sweet and heartfelt, I love it, it really shines in this song. If the Warp! translation doesn't show up anywhere I'll translate it. :) It's very simple.

I'm going to definitely backtrack and talk about past Buono! shows and music, and plan on first translating the Haropro Yanen! and KRC episodes when they hosted. I can't describe how excited I am for the Hybrid Punch! DVD - when I get in a more settled position and can afford it, I'm going to buy a region-free DVD player and get some DVDs that I've wanted, but I'm nowhere near being able to afford them now. Idols are an expeeeensive hobby (lifestyle) to have. Financially and socially. haha
